So, it's the busiest time of the year for everyone, right? Shopping, working, parties, getting together with family, etc., etc. And as a decorator, it's my busiest time because everyone wants their project done before Christmas. So what do I do? I volunteer to do my fifth grader's yearbook. The whole thing, all by myself. What was I thinking? I know I'll be glad in the long run, and I do love graphic design, but I'm spending half my life scanning photos these days, which is why I haven't been around as much as I'd like. So, for those who might be wondering, I haven't abandoned blogland - I'll be back just as soon as I can, and hope you'll bear with me in the meantime.
Isn't it amazing the way holiday decorating can absolutely transform a house? I'll admit that it's a lot of work, and sometimes I am tempted to do just the mantel (and the tree of course). I always start with the mantel, thinking that it is all I will do, but then it looks so beautiful that I get inspired to decorate the rest of the house.
