My Favorite New Design Source That You May Not Have Heard Of AND My Favorite New Product

Have you ever heard of Designer's Guild?  I was contacted by them recently to join their affiliate program, but I had never heard of them before, probably because they are based in England (but ship to the US and Canada, and I think have warehouses here in the US).  After looking at their site, I am IN LOVE.   They carry products I have never seen before, and I'm sure they are going to be a big new source for me.

Here is their link:

Look at this gorgeousness!!  And while a little on the steep side at normal price, the sales are like 60-70% off, and the items actually become affordable:

I'm sorry, this post took forever to write, so I didn't have time to link to each product separately, but you can find all of them here:

Moving on.....

This is the toy I got in the mail yesterday that I need to tell you about (aka "The Greatest New Product Ever") -

The product is called Bondi.  Have you guys heard about this yet?

Maybe I should have explained it first...  It's this hard but pliable plastic person-shaped holder. It holds a lot, but I think was specifically made for phones -- cellular or other.   It allows you to hang your phone while it's charging, while on speaker phone, etc.  The uses are endless.  Here's how I've used mine already:

My land line does not have a speaker phone option except through the handset (i.e., I have to pick the handset up, dial or answer, then hit "speaker." I can't put the phone back in the charger until the call is over or it will hang up. So, since I talk on speaker a lot, I have to just lay the handset on my desk -- uuuugh, clutter.  No more!! I used this all day hanging from the cabinet over my desk (above).

And here it is holding my iPhone.  I love this for the same reason -- I was texting through Siri (isn't she the best?) and didn't have to go looking through my clutter ever time a new message came in.  The Bondi kept it at eye level. I also plugged the phone in to charge at one point, right from the holder, but forgot to take a photo.  (PS - if you have Siri, ask her to "Beam Me Up" -- it's so worth it :)

The previous three and the next two photos are mine, taken at my house today with my new toy, and then the  rest are from the manufacturer.

My daughter thought this was funny:

And here are photos from the Bondi website showing its myriad of uses:

I will be doing this, below, as I've never gotten around to getting a
phone mount, so it sits in my cup holder now,
and has been dripped on more than once:

And the cutest video I've seen in a while for a product:

How stinkin' cute is that!? Are you impressed or am I just a sucker for a new gadget?  That could totally be the case, I'm well aware, since I've been know to buy QUITE a few things from the "For Suckers Only" Skymall catalog on airplanes....

But just in case, here are answers to the two questions I anticipate most: (1) $20, and (2) YES, it is strong enough to do everything it says/shows in the photos -- I promise.  I wouldn't be writing about it if I didn't buy it myself and if I weren't totally impressed.

The only annoying thing is the ordering system -- I think they'll get up to speed soon, but since it is so new, it is Paypal only.  But, I got the invoice within minutes of ordering, and the Bondi within three days of paying, so not bad for a startup.  My kids each want one of these so badly so I told them to ask the Easter Bunny.  I sure hope he comes through for them ;)

So, here's where to go if you want one:

Bondi - Hang it on!

And, a quick note about advertisers and sponsors. You may have noticed that I've taken more on lately.  I've done it for three reasons:  (1) it helps me make up some of the money I am not earning from clients when I am blogging instead of working for them (and I have turned down clients when I don't have time to do both, because this blog is so important to me), (2) I really believe in all of the products and companies shown here, and (3) I think it adds value to the blog to have an interesting sidebar where you can see products that I have handpicked and used myself.  If you like this blog, then I assume you like my style, and will benefit from this.  BUT, I never never never want you to feel like I am pushing anything, so if you aren't interested in product recommendation and sponsors, please ignore the sidebar and keep coming back anyway!

Finally, please notice the new "Pin It" button on the bottom right of all of my posts (right above the comments)!!!!  I worked so long on this, and I'm not sure I could tell you how I finally did it.  It involved going into my html code (I shudder at the memory ... one false move and *pouf*, my blog is gone).  Anyway, enjoy your day. I'm off to go play with my Bondi ;)
