I Could Live Here

This is a 13 acre mansion in Switzerland situated on Lake Geneva.  The price is by request only, and you know what they say about if you have to ask...

I fell in love with this house. There are some things I would want to change, but overall, it's a stunner.

I must have serious delusions of grandeur, because I can totally see myself here :)

Yes, I could most definitely live there.

Here are my favorite sales today - if you can invest in rugs, there are some stunning antique and semi-antique ones available today:

A Guest Post From a New Partner: How to Blend Monochrome and French Style in Your Bedroom

Welcome to my newest partner, Direct Blinds!
Here is a post from them about French styled bedrooms:

As this blog has shown in previous posts, black and white rooms can be truly stunning. But this photo of a French-inspired black and white bedroom is certain to spark the interest of more adventurous interior decorators.

The black and white theme works brilliantly in bedrooms, as it is simple and not gender-specific, but creates a high-impact finish. French style is simply gorgeous in a bedroom, creating a luxurious, timeless feel. The two combined - well, it's got to be a recipe for success, hasn’t it?
For some ideas of how to go about working this beautiful style hybrid into a bedroom, here are a few suggestions:

Made to measure blinds in either black or white will provide a panel of colour to start the monochrome theme off nicely, and black blinds will help to block out any light pollution in the bedroom. Stylish and functional - perfect! Whichever colour is chosen for the walls (black or white) a blind in the opposite colour can be used. Alternatively, decorators can use black and white patterned wallpaper and opt for whichever colour is preferred for the blind.

A French-style bed is the clear choice for this theme, but whether a black or white one is chosen is up to personal preference. The bed should be dressed with pure white sheets then draped in a luxurious black silk or velvet throw for sumptuous French glamour.

Decorative pieces like candle holders and dramatic lighting are a must. A theatrical high-shine black chandelier looks stunning set against a stark white ceiling.

Thank you Direct Blinds, and welcome!
