This may be a little crazy, but I took down all the Christmas stuff already (Well, with lots of help, but I bossed everyone around and made them do it. Haha!) It feels good to have the house back to normal, and it seems a lot less cluttered. I did leave the lights outside though. I’d leave those all year if it was acceptable. Does anyone else take down Christmas on the 26th or am I alone on that?
My sweet little girl made these this year, so even though they are down now, they are in with the other “keep forever” items:
And aren’t these paper snowflakes cool? She memorized the pattern and made about 20 one day (I wonder where she gets the tendency to obsess about projects from??). She hung them very low, so it’s been tough getting through the doorways, but that’s ok!
Moving on. I really like the interior decorating work of Kate Driver at West Haddon Hall, a design firm in Los Angeles. Have you seen her work? I would call it modernized and globally influenced but traditional at heart. Just like I like it! I especially love the color palettes she seems to favor. Enjoy!
And this is a brand that I buy online, sight unseen, that never disappoints. Buying online is not for everyone, but it has worked for me and the clients I’ve bought for:
Can’t wait to get the decorations down! I love the photos (and the snowflake project!)
Not ready to take mine down yet. I’m enjoying just being able to relax after running non-stop for the past two weeks. My sister took everything down at her house yesterday. She’s like my Mother, wanting to clean and get rid of all the Christmas clutter. 🙂
Now I don’t feel so badly. I also can’t wait to take down Christmas decorations right after Christmas. I also get the urge to change out my accent colors to something lighter in color.
NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo…I’m NOT ready to take them down yet!!! Luv Kate Driv!! franki
