Hi everyone! I finally finished the kitchen lights. Almost every one of you that voted picked the ones I was leaning towards – the open lanterns. They shipped overnight and we installed them last night, and I’m really happy with them. Of course the color change meant I had to frantically spray paint all of my cabinet hardware, but I was planning to do that anyway. Here are more photos than you could possible need, but I’m bad at editing. I’ll show you the before and after hardware and paint details below.
Here is the gold spray paint that I use. I read about it on another blog years ago, tried it, and have never used anything else. It isn’t as cheap as some ($23 a can, here), but it lasts forever and really covers in one quick coat. I used color 231, Gold Medal, but I have also used Champagne (here) and 14K Gold (here).
